Online Vacation Planning

Tuesday, May 13, 2008

I usually do the vacation planning for me and my husband. And for someone who works 12-hour days, this is not easy. Thankfully, like most of the things nowadays I found help online.

My boss once said she got $75 hotel reservations for downtown LA at priceline.com - so I decided to give it a try. I was able to book a room at the 4-star Hyatt Regency Spa and Marina for the same price as a 3-star hotel in the San Diego area only 2 miles away from Seaworld.

Then after I found out what hotel accepted my bid, I looked for reviews about that hotel and found out that the best rooms are in the tower for just a couple of dollars in upgrade. The reviewer had even indicated the exact price for the upgrade so I was prepared when I checked in. It was a really sweet deal! A great little getaway spot...

This is why I love my line of work. The internet just makes life a lot easier for busy people who are more often than not tied to their office! So if you're ever trying to plan a getaway and want a great deal on a hotel, instead of skimping try bidding on priceline.com...
