The 5-Cent Wine Sale

My husband has a project.  He fell in love with this wooden wine rack that he got on sale in Habitat for Humanity's ReStore and found a place for it in our home.  There was only one problem - it had no wines.  And having 44 spaces to fill is no easy feat!

So it lay empty for a while, and we filled it one bottle at a time with wines we liked, wines that were on sale and wines that looked interesting.

And then we discovered Bevmo's five-cent wine sale...  The moment we walked through the sliding  doors, we were met with table after table filled with spirits.  Chardonnays, Merlots, Pinot Grigios, Sauvignon Blancs, Cimarrons, Cavas, Rieslings, Zinfandels and much much more, buy one at regular price and get another for only a nickel.  It was a great deal!

They even had a wine tasting every Saturday for only $2.  They had at least seven selection of wines out for the tasting and a good group of connoisseurs was gathered around exchanging stories.  The conversation was interesting, the wine was good and the deals were amazing!

And so my husband's 44 empty spaces are well on its way to being filled.  As my friend on Facebook once posted, "I love BevMo!"  The holidays are almost here, find a bottle you love and celebrate - while they are still on sale, it's also a great gift idea for friends.  Definitely a win-win!
