Dynamic Views: Thanks, But No Thanks!

I must admit, I loved Blogger's Dynamic Views when I first saw it a few weeks back.  I made a mental note to try it out on my personal blog, but did not get around to it until this weekend.  There were three tempt-lates that tempted me the most (...pun definitely intended...).

It made my content look amazing!  But it didn't let me customize anything on the blog.  I couldn't even control the background color!

I enjoyed my widgets, I enjoyed adding my personal touches to my blog.  And though my layout is simpler than the dynamic views, I think I will keep my customizations - thank you.  Blogger, you almost had me though - I loved how my content looked on your templates.  I just don't think I want to give up all control of my blog's design.

If Blogger can find a way to combine dynamic views with widgets and customization - I will probably jump on board in a heartbeat.  But for now, I am content with my blog's look and feel - and will look forward to the next version of dynamic views.
